Project Overview

Stockton’s Downtown Marina & Joan Darrah Promenade represents a complete transformation of the old Stockton waterfront. Working as part of the team planning a new 100 berth marina, LDA helped design a new 6,900 linear foot pedestrian promenade which encircles the north and south shore waterfront. This promenade provides links between the marina and nearby public destinations, including the Stockton Arena and Banner Island Ballpark where the Stockton Ports call home. The completed design successfully achieved the City’s objective to redevelop the scenic waterfront, eliminate a blighted city area and revitalize the downtown waterfront area.
