The Project consists of the design and construction of a new Empire Community Library and associated site work and parking. This single-story building is 4,731 square feet. It houses; library stacks & reading areas for adults, teens, and children, an office, break room, storage, staff, and public restrooms, a community room that opens to a covered community gathering space, and a sheriff’s office. The community room covered the community area, and the sheriff’s office can be used and operated independently from the library.
The Library is designed to be inviting with a glass entry and upward sloping roof. The colors & design of the interior spaces are vibrant. The new library serves as a community anchor with its proximity to the community park and pool. In addition, there is an Additive Alternate for a community garden bridging the space between the covered community area and the existing community park.
