U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons Administrative Offices

project overview

LDA Partners designed a new Western Regional Headquarters for the Federal Bureau of Prisons.  Known as the Verona Office Plaza condominium, this new facility includes two, three-story buildings, totaling approximately 66,000 SF on a 4.1 acre site.  The Federal Bureau of Prisons comprises 33,000 SF of interior office space.

The building design echoes the influence of Northern Italian hill town, and features a varied building façade, composed of multiple wall planes. Each wall plane has a distinct color scheme, creating the visual suggestion of a cluster of individual buildings.  The interior features an open, three-story atrium with abundant skylights. Open balconies within the atrium provide entrance to individual office suites.
