Programmed for “LEED Silver” certification as recognized by the United States Green Building Council, the California Department of Motor Vehicles’ new facility in Tracy reflects the state’s commitment to sustainable building design. The 10,000 square-foot, single story facility will house vehicle registration and drivers licensing services for the Tracy area, and will be first LEED-certified building in southern San Joaquin County.

The building and site development will incorporate sustainable building materials, energy monitoring building systems, extensive use of daylighting and glazing systems, drought-tolerant landscaping, and water-efficient irrigation systems.
