The Lucas Winery

One of the first boutique wineries established in the Lodi wine region, The Lucas Winery has been producing quality zinfandel and chardonnay since the late 1970s.

Reflecting the increasing stature of the Lodi appellation, the respected winemaker David Lucas desired to expand the winery’s facilities and visitor areas with the addition of the “gran che’” and the restoration of a classic barn structure to serve as the tasting room. The gran che’ is a climate controlled barrel aging facility used for wine storage and special tasting events.

The barn, originally constructed circa 1930s, was deconstructed and structurally restored. Exterior barn materials were carefully salvaged and re-applied to the restored structure. The result is an inviting visitor area imbued with the winery’s history and commitment to the art of winemaking.
